FDI and Environmental Sustainability Nexus: Testing the Pollution Haven Hypothesis in the Presence of Regulatory Quality

In this study, we examine the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI) and environmental pollution within context of haven hypothesis (PHH) in Ghana. We also investigate role regulatory quality FDI-pollution linkage. The study employs quarterly data spanning period 2000Q1-2017Q4 applies fully modified least squares (FMOLS) technique. empirical results show that FDI inflows significantly positively drive pollution. This result holds presence quality. Accordingly, confirm validity finds industrialization increases given its significant positive with ecological footprint. discuss relevant policy implications.
